They are designed to minimise stretching over time, helping riders maintain a consistent stirrup length. They are particularly popular with dressage riders, showjumpers and riders seeking greater precision and balance.

Synthetic Stirrup Leathers

Synthetic stirrup leathers are lightweight, weather resistant and easy to maintain. They're an excellent option for Pony Club, trail riding and everyday use where low maintenance is a priority.

Ascot Expert Tip

The near-side (left) stirrup leather often stretches more than the off-side because it's the side most riders mount from. Rotating your stirrup leathers from left to right every month or so helps them wear more evenly and can significantly extend their life. If one leather has already stretched noticeably, replacing the pair is usually the safest and most comfortable option.
