We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for reporting, analysis and business planning where that information no longer identifies an individual.

Ecommerce & Website Technology

Our online store is operated using Shopify.

Shopify and other technology providers may process certain information when you browse our website, create an account, use checkout or make a purchase.

We may also use ecommerce applications and integrations to provide website functionality such as:

  • product availability and stock management

  • back-in-stock notifications

  • customer communications

  • order processing

  • website search and functionality

  • inventory and point-of-sale operations

  • security and website performance.

The information provided to these services depends on the functionality being used and is limited to information reasonably required for that service.

Shopify itself also processes consumer information when customers interact with Shopify-powered stores and Shopify services.

Payments

When you make a purchase, information required to process your payment may be provided to our payment service providers.

These may include:

  • Shopify Payments

  • PayPal

  • Afterpay

  • other payment services offered through our checkout from time to time.

These providers process payment information in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.

Ascot Saddlery does not sell payment information or personal information to third parties.

Where you place an order requiring delivery, we may provide the information reasonably required to deliver your order to our delivery and freight providers.

These may include:

You can also contact Ascot Saddlery and ask us to stop sending marketing communications.

Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary communications about an existing order, transaction or customer service enquiry.

These technologies may include:

We may use advertising technologies to understand whether advertising campaigns result in visits, enquiries or purchases.

Where enabled, these technologies may also help advertising platforms understand audiences who have previously interacted with our website.

We do not currently name every advertising platform in this policy unless that platform is actively being used to process information through the Ascot Saddlery website.

If additional advertising or tracking platforms are introduced, we will review this Privacy Policy and our website privacy settings as appropriate.

OAIC guidance specifically notes that tracking pixels used for advertising can involve the collection and disclosure of personal information and should be regularly reviewed.
