What's the difference between jodhpurs, breeches and riding tights?
Jodhpurs extend to the ankle and are traditionally worn with paddock boots and half chaps. Breeches finish at the calf and are designed for tall riding boots. Riding tights are made from stretch performance fabrics and offer a lightweight, pull-on alternative that has become increasingly popular for everyday riding.
In Australia, the terms jodhpurs and breeches are often used interchangeably.
How do I choose the right size?
Most brands are based on standard ladies' sizing, although the fit varies between manufacturers. We recommend checking the size guide on each product or contacting our team if you're unsure which size will suit you best.
Should I choose full-seat or knee-patch?
Full-seat riding tights and breeches are now the most popular choice for many riders, not just dressage competitors. The additional grip provides greater stability and confidence in the saddle, making them ideal for everyday riding, dressage, trail riding and many jumping riders.
Knee-patch styles remain a good option for riders who prefer less grip and greater freedom of movement through the seat, although they now make up a smaller part of most riding apparel ranges.
Ultimately, the best choice comes down to personal preference. If you're unsure, our experienced team can help you choose the style that best suits your riding and comfort.

What colour riding pants do I need for Pony Club?
Cream or white is commonly required for Pony Club and competition, although requirements can vary between clubs and disciplines. Always check your current uniform guidelines before purchasing.
How should I wash riding tights and breeches?
Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle using mild detergent. Avoid high heat and fabric softeners where recommended, and allow garments to air dry to help preserve the grip panels and technical fabrics.
Is silicone grip better than suede?
Both perform well. Silicone generally provides greater grip and is easy to maintain, while suede offers a more traditional appearance and feel. The best choice comes down to your riding style and personal preference.
