What length lunge rein should I choose?
Lunge reins are available in a range of lengths to suit different horses, training styles and arena sizes.
The best choice depends on how you intend to use the rein and your personal preference. If you're unsure, our experienced team can help you select the most suitable option.
Are side reins safe to use?
When correctly fitted and used by an experienced handler, side reins can be a useful training aid during lunging.
They should always be introduced gradually, adjusted appropriately for the individual horse and never used to force a head position. Side reins should not be left attached to a tied or unattended horse.
Do you stock lunge cavessons?
Yes. We stock a range of lunge cavessons designed for groundwork, lunging and in-hand training, including styles suitable for everyday training and more advanced schooling.
If you're unsure which cavesson is best for your horse, we're happy to help.
Can I use draw reins on a young horse?
Draw reins are an advanced training aid that should only be used by experienced riders with a clear understanding of their correct fitting and application.
For young or inexperienced horses, it's generally recommended to focus on correct basic training before considering additional training aids.
What is a Pessoa® training aid?
A Pessoa® training aid is a lunging system that uses a series of ropes and pulleys fitted around the horse to provide adjustable guidance during groundwork.
Like all training aids, it should be correctly fitted and used as part of a thoughtful training programme appropriate to the individual horse.
Do you stock lunge whips for children and Pony Club riders?
Yes. We stock a range of lunge whips in different lengths and weights to suit adults, younger riders and Pony Club members.
If you're unsure which whip is most suitable, our team can help you choose the right option for your needs.
